Blue Book GC Event

Redhawk attended the Blue Book Network GC Showcase last night at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center. The Blue Book Network has one goal in mind; to bring the commercial construction industry together. This is a yearly event put on by the local Blue Book chapter and it’s primary goal is to help industry people network and educate them on the newest technologies or trendss within the business.

“It was a great opportunity for  us to get our name out there and see what other GC’s are up to”, says Katy Browning, Redhawk Project & Administrative Coordinator, “we met a lot of our current subs and also a lot of new subs for us to include on future bids.”

However it wasn’t your typical subcontractor meet and greet. We found a lot of specialty contractors that had unique products to showcase from security systems, to new floor leveling products to industry related services. This industry is always evolving especially with the introduction of new technology.

“The most notable sub for me was the security guy who came to us with an iPad and a short video for us to watch on their services. It wasn’t your typical handshake and business card exchange, it was something memorable and he gave us a thumb drive with the video we watched. Technology allowed him to show us his product in real time.”
