North Bend Bartell Drugs Opening!

The newly constructed North Bend Bartell Drugs is complete!

It was a crisp, sunny day for the Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Bartell Drugs located in North Bend, WA. Local media, North Bend Chamber of Commerce members, North Bend Mayor Kenneth Hearing, local City Councilmembers, landlords of the property, Tom and Elizabeth Sroufe and Jim and Betty Borgen as well as family and friends of the Bartell family stood in front of the store for the grand opening of Bartell Drugs’ 60th store in the Pacific Northwest. Bartell Drugs is a family owned and operated business since 1890.

The 15,683 SF building sits in downtown North Bend at the corner of Bendigo Blvd and East Park St in the shadow of the beautiful nearby Mount Si mountain. The drugstore opening is a relief to many of the Snoqualmie Valley residents as the closest drugstore in the area was Issaquah. The Bartell chains pride themselves on the family feel of each of their stores and like to hire locals from the area to keep up with community ties.

Construction started in February of 2013 and commenced in early October 2013.
